Star ChaserI lay on my back staring at the moon and all her twinkling children;
I wonder if i reach up if she might let me play with them;
The thought barely crosses my mind when the moon`s brother fiery and bright rises;
and starts to take away my beloved moon;
I jump up and run screaming through the tall grass "No don`t go come back"
I fall and among grass stained knees my moon disappears;
her children follow obediently;
I say goodbye until tonight.

The Smell of HeavenThe smell of heaven is the sweet aroma of the flowers so beautiful,
Lilies,roses,marigolds and babies breath,
Sweep through heaven at break neck pace,
They heal the scars the newly dead spirits suffered to reach such a magical sanctuary,
The smell dies leaving the new spirits to rest,
Happily forever.....waiting for new arrivals

I am a BookExtended metaphor i wrote for class hope you like it

I am a book
silent until took
from its shelf
hard to read from the outside
simple when opened
filled with stories untold
just waiting for someone to unfold
bound in paper or
bound in place
damaged by careless hands
nursed by those still caring for knowledge
torn so easily never the same again
and why, what is there to gain
pain that leaves a stain?
the one so torn,worn,forlorn
is the one glad to be born
so well loved read a billion times over
even if some didn`t bother
