The Kie and Mizuki Story Naruto Fan-fiction Chap.4

Friends Forever?
Mizuki Uchiha (POV~Point of View)

We trudge through the woods on tired feet.
        "Itachi can we take a break" I whine. Its been a week since we left Konoha and my legs are getting are killing me!"
        "No not yet Mizu we have to get as far away from Konoha as possible we don`t know who could be looking for us".
I don`t even have time to reply when the feeling hits my stomach. I feel like I`m going to be sick and I drop to my knees. Itachi looks back and his face is covered in worry. He runs over to me.
        "Mizu? Mizu? Are you okay?"he asks frantically then he seems to clue in and he relaxes a little "are you having a vision?"I nod through the sick feeling in my stomach. My eyes see only black at first which is normal for my visions but then comes the flash of light and I find myself in the woods. I think it`s the same woods me and Itachi are in right now but I can`t be sure all trees look the same to me. At that moment I miss Kie who knows every forest like a friend and every tree that belongs there. I shake off the feeling and look around. I seem to be alone so I walk a little wondering what it is I`m supposed to be seeing. I stop when I see a group of figures in the distance that are getting closer by the minute. I duck behind a tree, as they draw near I notice that there are four of them. They all wear long black cloaks which have red clouds outlined in a bright white and are carrying big bamboo hats with white strips of fabric hanging from them. Wondering who they are I look at their faces starting with the tallest. He looks about eight feet tall, has spiky blue hair and the complexion to match in a slightly lighter shade of blue. As if that wasn`t weird enough his face looks oddly fish-like.
        WHAT THE HECK? Why am I having visions of freakishly tall fishy blue guys. I compose myself and look at the rest of the four a blue haired girl, an orange haired guy with way too many piercings and piercing eyes. When I look at the last one I stop in shock standing before me is a person I have not seen since I was four years old.
        "Orochimaru?" I whisper. I look him over cautiously. He looks the same, the same pale white skin made even paler in contrast of the black cloak. His eyes are still the same golden colour with black slit pupils and he still has the same purple eye makeup on. He looks around his long black hair framing his angular face. He starts talking to the others but I can`t hear what he says and I try to get closer. Before I can, the forest starts to fade around me and the last thing I see is Orochimaru`s face with a creepy grin as he looks towards me.
        The woods reappear around me and I see Itachi hovering over me with a worried look on his face. My head rests on something soft and I reach back and feel the course material of Itachi`s backpack. I look at him in question.
        "I thought it would help having something like a pillow under your head" he shrugs sheepishly. I look around and I see a small crackling fire and a tent set up in a small clearing nearby.
     "So what was your vision about? What did you see?"
     "Well I`m not sure what it means or really what it`s all about. All I saw was people" I shudder at the thought, if you can call those creeps people.
     "What kind of people?" Itachi asks heating a pot of water and noodles over the fire.
     "Well there was a really tall blue fishy guy, a girl with blue hair and a guy with enough piercings to make a couple dozen swords" I say leaving Orochimaru out on purpose. Itachi looks at me like I just grew an extra head.
     "Maybe we should of took a break earlier I think all this walking has done something to your head" I roll my eyes at him and my stomach grumbles.
     "What do we have to eat anyways?"
     "Ramen"
     "Ugh...ramen is that all we have?"
     "Yup" Itachi says with a grin.
     "Well I guess it will have to do" I say grabbing a small bowl and filling it. I take a bite of it after it cools and grimace as the slimy noodles snake down my throat. I hate ramen, it reminds me of snakes and I am terrified of them and also I hate them. I look over at Itachi about to take another bite of my dreadful meal and notice Itachi hasn`t made himself a bowl but his mouth is moving in the way of chewing. I slam my bowl on the ground sending noodles sloshing to the ground.
     "I thought ramen was all we had!!"
     "Well it is" Itachi says chewing around his words.
     "Then what are you eating?!" Itachi grins
     "Leftover dangos from breakfast"
     "Dangos? You know I love dangos give me some!!"
     "No they`re mine" he says holding a dango out in front of him "If you want one come and get it" All of a sudden the dango dissapears in a flash of white fur and a small weasel, dango in paw sits on Mizuki`s shoulder. Itachi looks at his hand then the weasel in surprise.
     "Good job Itachi I knew there was a reason I found you" I say taking the dango from its paws "You can have the ramen if you want" I say pointing to the half empty bowl of ramen. The weasel scurries over and busies itself chewing the lanky noodles. Itachi is looking at me confusion evident on his face.
     "What?! Where did you get a weasel? Wait did you just call it Itachi? What`s that supposed to mean Mizu?!"
     "I found him on my last mission and Itachi means weasel thats why its his name?"
     "That`s going to be really confusing Mizu can`t you give him a nickname?"
     "Oh yeah you`re right... How about we call him Tachi?"
     " I guess that would be okay"
I eat the dango quietly and find myself thinking of Kie and Sasuke. My heart already misses them. We eat in silence for what seems like forever. Then I think of someway I can still keep in contact with Kie.
     "Itachi?" I say nervously, scared to reveal my thought fearing Itachi won`t like it. He glances at me.
     "Yes? What is it?"
     "Back in Konoha they`re looking for us right?"
     "Yeah of course they are Mizu after all they consider me a murderer and since you followed me you`re an accoplice to murder" he says seemingly calm.
     "Well I was wondering if it would be smart to get someone in Konoha, you know on the inside to tell us who and when people are coming for us"
     "Hmmm....... it`s a good idea but who would we get? The entire village hates us"
     "NO THEY DON`T!!" I say defensively then my voice fades to a whisper "Not everyone" He gives me a questioning look.
     "Who did you have in mind?" he says raising an eyebrow.
     "Well.....um.....Kie" I say sheepishly.
     "Kie?? You really think she would help us, after all we did kind of burden her with Sasuke"
     "Itachi she`s been my best friend since I was born shes like a sister to me. She would help me no matter what happens. Just like you would for me"
     "So you really believe she`ll help us?" I nod my head. "Ok then I do too, but how are you going to contact her anyways" I look at Tachi.
     "Oh that won`t be a problem that is if you brought a pen and paper" Itachi looks at me strangely as he digs through his backpack and withdraws a pen and a couple sheets of paper. I take them from him and begin to write.

Dearest Kie:

Wow look at me being all formal and it only took a week. How are you? I hope you and Sasuke and Naruto are getting along.  How is Sasuke coping after losing us......I miss him.......I miss you. We are doing ok but we need  a little help from you.....you will still help me won`t you? I hope we are still friends. If we are can you please help us out by telling us when shinobi are coming for us and and who it is so we can be prepared. Send your response beck with Tachi or Toki when you can they should be able to follow my scent. I`ll understand if you don`t respond.

I roll the sheet up.
     "Tachi come here" The little weasel crawls into my arms."Now Tachi do you remeber the girl with the blonde hair and the monkey" He nods his head."Good Hey Itachi do you have an extra hairband?"
     "Yeah......Why??"
     "Give me it"
     "Uh.....ok" he says digging one out of his bag and dropping it in my hand. I take the black band and stretch it enough to fit over Tachi`s small head leaving it snugly around his wrist thin neck. I place the rolled paper under the band.
     "Now Tachi find Kie......the girl with the monkey and make sure she gets this letter". He runs through the woods towards Konoha.
     "Well it`s getting late we should..." he pauses to yawn "probably get some sleep"
     "Yeah you`re right I say crawling into the tent. Itachi crawls in behind me since we only have one tent. We both lay down and I can`t help but remember the time when we were little and trained in the backyard till we were exhausted and collapsed on eachother. We layed there for what seemed like only a moment but was really a couple hours. Why do the good memories always seem so short and the bad so long?
      "Goodnight Mizu" I hear his voice muffled by his backpack which he is using in place of a pillow so I can have the only one we actually have.
      "Goodnight Itachi" then I whisper another goodnight across a weeks worth of forest "Goodnight Kie..........I hope your a memory I can never forget" Tears well up in my eyes as I fall asleep
